Description: A L'ilboard that allows monitoring of a phone line, and provides several outputs:
•an analog “tap”
•an indication of line polarity
•two separate threshold detector outputs
Applications:
•Use to detect on/off-hook, ring and dead phone line conditions;
•Interface to Caller ID signal or analog (voice) signal.
•Doesn't have to be used with a phone line: it can be used as a resistor-isolated instrumentation amplifier.
Features: •the thresholds, each with hysteresis, can be adjusted for local phone requirements.
•the board is designed so that the threshold voltages can be trimmed (an 0805 SMD resistor is in parallel with a 1/8 W through-hole device in each of five spots).
