Model number: LB2.03.

Description: A 9 Volt battery clip (the battery plugs down onto the board) with a TLE2426 “rail-splitter” installed under the board. Can also be used with higher voltages just as a rail splitter.

Applications:
•Power your circuit with a 9 V battery.
•Provides a “rail-splitter” function, either to set a mid-supply level for single supply op-amps, or provide an artificial ground for low power dual supply circuits.
•The 9V clip can be removed and a two-way screw terminal block installed instead, or wires can be simply soldered to the pads which are meant for the terminal block: This allows the board to be used as a rail splitter for a voltage other than 9V. The TLE2426 can work up to about 40 V.

Features:
•The voltage can be switched off-board if desired, or a solder blob can short the switch terminal pads at SJ1.
•A reverse polarity protection diode is provided for the TLE2426. The diode can be removed from the circuit (at SJ2, bottom side) where the voltage drop across a Schottky diode wastes power. Unsure whether the TLE2426 is reverse polarity protected...so bypass the diode at your own risk.
•A standard 9 V battery clip with attached wires can be soldered onto the TB1 terminals if it is inconvenient to have the battery's height above the assemblage of L'ilboards that are being powered.

Key components:
•A 9 V battery connector
•TLE2426 when option installed

Restrictions:
•The TLE2426 can only source or sink about 20 mA.
•Watch the rating of the capacitor associated with the TLE2426. Both C1 and C1A, whichever is installed, have the same 16 V rating.
