Positive boost regulator Li'lBoard page.
Model number: LB2.04.
Description: Can boost an input voltage as low as 1.5 V to as high as 30 V. Board is normally supplied with a 133 kΩ resistor at R2 and a 10 kΩ resistor at R3, giving a 17.6 V nominal output. Lower voltages are normally attained by paralleling R2 with a small through-hole (1/8 W) resistor. The support calculator starts with these default values.
Applications: Useful to convert low cell or battery voltages to higher values to meet circuit requirements.
Key components: Linear Technology's LT1317.
Support page: Click here
Restrictions: Do not use directly with vehicle voltages since the maximum input is 10 V, and be careful with “wall wart” voltages since they often are much higher than their nominal rating when unloaded or lightly loaded.
The default output voltage is safe with the supplied rating of C4, however the LT1317 can go higher. To convert to a higher voltage pay attention to the ratings of the diode D1 as well as the Voltage rating of C4.
The diode can be easily blown by applying a short-circuit to the board: either protect the output of this board with a fuse or ensure by other means that too much of a load is never applied!

Vin max: 10. Best to keep below about 8.0 V with a 10 V capacitor at C2.
Vin min: 1.2
Vout min: Vin + a small voltage
Vout max: 30, depends on C4's max derated Voltage. (see Restrictions section.)
SPI: N/A.
Tenth centers: YES
