Description: A classic 4-diode bridge rectifier, with room for a smoothing capacitor.
Features:
• A 6 A, 100 V bridge rectifier is normally supplied. Many sizes of axial- or radial-leaded, or case size D (7243) SMD tantalum capacitors can be fitted. A heat sink can be attached to the bridge rectifier.
• The rectifier can be used with a center-tapped transformer by isolating the ground plane of this L'ilboard from any others and grounding the center tap to the system's ground. Filter capacitors would have to be wired between the +/- outputs and the new ground.
