Dual double supply opamp Li'lBoard page.
Model number: LB3.03.
Description:
A dual Op Amp in an 8-pin SOIC. Designed to implement the classic 4 resistors per op amp (see image at right). Each is implemented as a combination through hole (1/8 W size) and/or SMD(0805 size) resistor site.
Applications:
•Many generic dual-rail op-amp circuits.
•One good example is the CMoy class headphone amplifier. With a L'il2.03B or L'il2.03C and a L'il7.04 this popular design can be built very easily. Using 1 uF 0805 ceramics capacitors (at about 10¢ each) I found a real improvement in sound quality when driving from a single-cell MP3 player. Polypropylene capacitors would likely be better, but they are much larger and cost 10 to 20 times as much.
Key components: The OPA2134 is used in the basic configuration, however there are literally hundreds of Op-amps in the 8-pin SOIC package which use the same pinouts.

Restrictions:
•Often, components other than the usual 4 resistors per op amp have to be placed off board, although leaded capacitors can sometimes be added if the TH resistors are absent. Even 0805 capacitors can be placed, as in the CMoy Headphone amplifier implememtation of the L'il3.03C.
•Unlike most L'ilboards, only one pad exists for each supply voltage.
•Observe power supply filter capacitor voltage ratings (10 uF, 10 V normally supplied).
