Model number: LB3.05.

Description: A versatile sine/triangle/square generator that is SPI-controlled. Uses the AD9833 DDS chip.

Applications: Function generator, programmable frequency source.

Features: Can produce sine triangle and square waves with fundamental frequencies from 3 µHz to 12.5 MHz.

The board can be built with differing grade oscillators. 100, 50 and 2.5ppm versions are available, and others can be found. The oscillator site can accomodate either the very common 4-pin in an 8-pin DIP outline package or a FOX924B TCXO in a 5x3.2 mm SMD.

Key components: AD9833 (in an MSOP 10-pin package which has 0.5 mm lead pitch).

Support page: Click here

Restrictions: Oscillator modules are almost always restricted to a narrow power supply range, and the ones used here are no exception: the 100ppm and 50ppm versions are 5 V only and the SMD, TCXO version is 3.3 V only.

Vin max: 5.5 (but 3.6 V for the L'il3.05C)

Vin min: 2.7 V, but depends on oscillator used (4.5 V for L'il3.05A and B, 3.0 V for L'il3.05C)

SPI: Yes.

Tenth centers: YES
